In previous years, this special feature of Australia Day was staged in Sydney City, along the stretch of College Street behind Hyde Park to Macquarie Street towards the Sydney Opera House.
This year’s national day (January 26), the Carnivale was moved to Parramatta Park.
We had slight rains in early morning causing a bit of mud on the park. But this did not deter the crowd from visiting the vintage cars on display.
The Carnivale is a fitting feature of the day on the history of Australians’ love for cars.
